Build Confidence Through Choice and Predictability

Is your dog easily distracted, worried about the world around them, or struggling to stay connected with you? Control Unleashed®️ (CU) is a fun, game-based program created by Leslie McDevitt that teaches dogs how to think, stay calm, and make great choices—even in challenging environments.

Using positive reinforcement and easy-to-learn pattern games, your dog will develop confidence while learning to navigate everyday situations with less stress and more success.

This class is perfect for:

  • Reactive or easily distracted dogs

  • Sensitive, shy, or anxious dogs

  • Adolescent dogs learning self-control

  • Sport dogs needing focus around distractions

  • Any dog that would benefit from better engagement and emotional regulation

In Level 1 you’ll learn:

  • Foundation Pattern Games

  • Focus and engagement

  • Relaxation skills

  • Confidence-building exercises

  • Predictability through structured games

  • Working comfortably around other dogs while maintaining a safe distance

Ready to take your CU skills to the next level?

Level 2 expands on the foundation games while introducing greater distractions, movement, and real-world applications. Dogs learn to recover more quickly, make thoughtful choices, and stay connected with their handler even when the environment becomes more challenging.

In Level 2 you’ll work on:

  • Advanced Pattern Games

  • Increasing duration and focus

  • Working around moving dogs and people

  • Building emotional flexibility

  • Handler engagement under distraction

  • Real-life scenarios and problem-solving games

Bringing It All Together

Level 3 is designed for teams ready to apply their skills in increasingly complex environments. The focus shifts from learning individual games to using them fluently in everyday life.

Whether your goal is walking calmly through busy areas, preparing for dog sports, or helping your dog feel more comfortable in the world, this class helps build lasting confidence and reliability.

You’ll practice:

  • Combining multiple CU games

  • Reading your dog’s emotional state

  • Working around higher-level distractions

  • Real-world setups and training scenarios

  • Generalizing skills to new environments

  • Strengthening teamwork and communication

By the end of Level 3, you’ll have a toolbox of practical games you can use throughout your dog’s life to reduce stress, increase confidence, and strengthen your relationship.
