Terms & Conditions

The following policies apply to all OutoftheBark clients. Please take a moment to read this page thoroughly. We put these policies into practice to ensure the best experience possible for all of the people and dogs we work with. Thank you for your cooperation!

OutoftheBark's Policies:

  1. Payment: Registration and payment are required to confirm any booking. Registration and payment are completed online with a credit or debit card. We’re also happy to help you in person at our facility 2960 Pacific Ave, Livermore, CA where we do accept cash.

  2. Refunds/Cancellations: Once a service has been scheduled, there are NO REFUNDS. Please consider your schedule carefully before registering. This policy is to ensure that our limited availability is open for serious inquiries and those ready to commit to training.

  3. Rescheduling: We do our best to remain flexible with rescheduling requests. Please note that our class sizes are purposefully kept small, therefore no RESCHEDULING will be allowed. Our private session availability is extremely limited so we require a minimum of 72 hours notice and we can do one reschedule per the package purchase.

  4. Expiration Dates: Private training packages EXPIRE 2-4 MONTHS after the date of your first session depending on the size of your package. We do not offer refunds for unused private training sessions. Please look at your calendar carefully before scheduling and communicate in a timely fashion about any accommodations needed.

  5. Animal Welfare: OutoftheBark Dog Training does not condone the use of physical punishment or intimidation of dogs by our staff or clients, (including, but not limited to, the use of: prong collars, choke chains, shock collars, and other physical corrections). Clients who continue to exhibit this behavior will be dismissed from training. NO REFUNDS are issued for dismissal due to violating our animal welfare policy.

  6. Safety Policy: OutoftheBark Dog Training requires all clients to comply with any safety measures deemed appropriate by their behavior consultant, including but not limited to: physical barriers, leashes, and muzzling. Clients who fail to comply accept all liability and will be dismissed from training. NO REFUNDS are issued for dismissal due to violating our safety policy.

  7. Dismissal: Dismissals occur when training, management, safety, and animal welfare recommendations by the trainer are repeatedly ignored. OutoftheBark Dog Training also reserves the right to dismiss any client that makes their staff feel unsafe in any way. NO REFUNDS are issued for dismissals.

  8. Pictures, Video, and Media: We love seeing our clients succeed, and sharing those success stories on our website and social media accounts! OutoftheBark Dog Training reserves the right to take video and photographs of clients, their dogs, and their families during class unless notified otherwise in writing by the client.

    OutoftheBark's Liability Waiver

    1. I have been told by OutoftheBark Dog Training and understand the inherent risks of owning a dog, including, but not limited to, the risk of dog bites to myself and others. Consequently, I understand and agree that I am and will remain responsible for the actions of my dog at all times and agree to indemnify and hold harmless OutoftheBark Dog , LLC from any and all claims of injury, expense, damages, or costs caused by my dog. 2. I understand that OutoftheBark Dog Training, LLC will work directly with me and my pet to impart contemporary animal behavior knowledge that best fits our needs and that successful companion pet programs depend on a combination of learned skills on the part of the pet and the owner. 3. OutoftheBark Dog Training, LLC adheres to strict animal welfare and safety protocols. Failure to adhere to these protocols listed in their policies will result in my dismissal from training.

    4. Client and OutoftheBark Dog Training hereby agree first to mediate, and if not resolved, to submit to final arbitration, any claim that may arise out of the terms of our agreement. Costs of arbitration will be split between the parties, with the prevailing party entitled to reimbursement of all costs, including any legal fees, should enforcement of any Arbitration Award be required.

    5. Client agrees that OutoftheBark Dog Training, LLC may use for publicity, pictures of my dog and/or me for promotional purposes, without liability or obligation to me.

    6. By checking the box, Client guarantees that any and all knowledge of previous bites to any human and/or animal by the dog being trained (or by any other dogs in Client’s household) have been fully disclosed to OutoftheBark Dog Training, LLC.
